I think this is a great hood. It works well and was easy to install. Modifying some of the factory presets takes some getting used to. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that nothing in the instructions or website dimensional data tells you the bottom is designed to slope up from the back to front. It's very obvious when installed next to adjacent cabinets that are level and looks like an installation mistake. It bothers me enough that I may decide to shim the front down to get it level and risk voiding the warranty.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Bruce's Questions

30", Under Cabinet Range Hood - White, 450 CFM

Why does the bottom slope?

The height of the hood is 6-1/2" where it makes contact with the front of the cabinet above. This is approximately 5/8" less that at the back of the hood. Consequently the bottom of the hood slopes up noticeably from back to front. Can the front of the hood be shimmed down so the bottom is level?

I sure wish the dimensional drawing on this site would have indicated it was designed to slope. I very likely would have bought a different model. The hood looks for all the world like it was not installed level and it drives me crazy! It works great, but I may still shim it down and risk the wrath of the manufacturer LOL.
