Had some problems with the heater in the beginning... the heat element went out.. I am glad to say that the customer service rep - Tammy was very nice -- sent me a replacement heat element right away - unfortunately that one didn't last long and I had to contact Broan again -- but Tammy came though with another replacement part that included the heater fan in addition to the heat element. My son did the work and said it really wasn't too hard to replace. It has been a few weeks since the second part was replaced and it all seems to be working fine. I selected Broan/NuTone because this was a replacement for a heater/light/fan that appeared to have been installed when my house was built... I never had problems with it in the years that I have been there -- I recommed this one.
My basement bathroom is always freezing cold so I really wanted to get an all-in-one unit to make things a little more comfortable when using it. I had a licensed electrician set this fan up for me and after about 3 times of using the heating feature of this product the heater burned out and only blew cold air. The rest of the unit works fine; the light and the vent. However, the only reason I bought this product was for the heating element of it.
You need to contact Broan Customer Service -- I sent an email and shortly after a new part arrived -- I didn't have another problem with that part -- but again, Broan Customer Service sent the heat/fan part -- and that seemed to do the trick. Call or email them -- they were very helpful.
I contact Broan /Nu Tone customer service -- they sent me a replacement heater element -- but it eventually went out -- however Broan then sent me a new heat element/fan unit and things are working fine now.
