30", Stainless Steel, Under Cabinet Hood, 300 CFM

I assume the 300 cfm in the printed specifications is for high speed. What is the cfm for normal and "mid" speeds?

Thank you for your question on the model QS230SS range hood. 300 CFM is for the high speed. The other two speeds would depend on variables of each installation so those speeds are not available. Contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 for further assistance.

Ceiling Fan, White Plastic Grille, 110 CFM

Can I reduce 4" down to 3" without losing the benefits of the fan.Brick house and a son of a gun area.

Up top explains dilemma
Thank you for your question on the model 676 exhaust fan. The 676 requires the use of 4” duct work. Using smaller duct work will affect the performance and the sound. Contact the Technical Support Department at 800-637-1453 to discuss other options.

How can I turn off completely the auto features of the SmartSense?

I leave my bathroom windows open, so the fan continues to turn on automatically. I want to disable the auto turn on feature. How can I reset later? I have two bathrooms both with the same fan.
Thank you for your question on the SmartSense exhaust fan system. If you cannot find your control user guide, please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 to provide programming information.

Replacement Charcoal Filters for AP1 and RP1 Range Hoods

Will this part fit the older 76000 series hood

Thank you for your question on the model 88F non-ducted charcoal filters and 76000 series range hood. The 88F filters are designed for the 88000 series range hood. The non-ducted charcoal filters for the 76000 series range hood would be part number 97007664 and can be purchased through the “Shop for Parts” link at the top of our web site page or call direct to Customer Service at 800-558-1711.

30" wide Backsplash in Reversible Stainless Steel

Best type screw for mounting in drywall

I'll be mounting a SP3004 stainless steel backsplash in the drywall behind my range and QS130SS Allure under-cabinet hood. In earlier Q/A's you specified the use of #8 3/4" screws and anchors, and said it was OK to install the backsplash behind the hood although the hood would not be flush to the back wall due to the thickness of the screw heads. Please be more specific in the type of screw you recommend: I ask because flat head drywall screws typically have beveled undersides to the head. Since the stainless steel will prevent the beveled screw head from setting completely flush against the surface (as it would if screwed directly into the drywall, enabling the bevel to 'countersink' into the softer material), is there another type of flat head screw that you recommend that is also flat on the underside? I want a screw that will hold the backsplash as flat to the drywall surface as possible.
Thank you for your question on the model SP3004 back splash. There is an abundance of screw types at your local hardware store that are appropriately flat-headed and will make no difference in the range hood fitting back against the backsplash. It's best if you just visit your local hardware store associate for suggestions.

Quiet Bathroom Fan/Light/Night Light, 140CFM, ENERGY STAR® Qualified

The 6" connector coming out of the unit has a scope a the bottom it would seem this would collect condensate as it is trapped, does it?

Thank you for your question on the model QT140LE exhaust fan/light/night light. Using rigid insulated duct work along with running the fan during and for 15 – 20 minutes after your shower should be enough to make sure there is no collection of condensed water anywhere in the duct work.

Heater/Fan/Light, White Plastic Grille, 70 CFM

Can I replace the entire 655 Heater/Fan/Light housing from the bathroom or must it be accessed from the attic?

Thank you for your question on the model 655 exhaust fan/heater/light. If you are trying to replace the 655 with another model, from the bathroom side, you will need to tear out more of the ceiling than would normally be necessary and patch the ceiling after the installation. It would be much easier from the attic side. Replacement parts are available and you can reuse your existing 655 housing. Contact the Technical Support Department with questions at 800-637-1453.

Heavy Duty Fan/Light, 80 CFM, 2.5 Sones. 100W Incandescent Light (bulb not included). Type IC.

Could I use this fan in my garage that is heated during the winters?

With a heated garage I notice I have alot of condensation and moisture from the snow during the winter.
Thank you for your question on the model HD80L exhaust fan/light. It would be possible to use the HD80L in a heated garage, but 80 CFM might not be strong enough for your application.

Broan 440 CFM, 30" wide Pro-Style Undercabinet Range Hood in Stainless Steel

Can the RP230SS be wall mounted instead of under cabinet mount? Are there mounting holes in the back as well as on top? Lowes labels as wall mountable

Thank you for your question on the model RP230SS range hood. In a ducted application, model 35 wall brackets can be used to secure the RP230SS to the wall. See the model 35 wall bracket kit and instructions on our website.

The Broan HRVH100SE Heat Recovery Ventilator with HEPA Filtration

can the HRVH100SE be used as an exhaust fan for a bath/shower room?

Putting in a new bathroom in a one story home and wonder if I use this HRVH100SE with the exhaust pulled from the there, do I need an actual exhaust bathroom fan also?
Thank you for your question on the model HRVH100SE heat recovery ventilator. The HRVH100SE is not designed for that application. A truly efficient bathroom system to remove humidity and odors would involve an actual exhaust fan. Please contact the Technical Service Department at 800-637-1453 with more questions.
