I am purchasing a 100hfl for a bath remodel and have concerns about the Broan wall vent. There seems to be quite a few reviews about the flap not staying closed. I am looking at using a 4 in. round galvanized wall vent with spring return damper. Would there be any problem with a spring loaded damper?
Thank you for your question on the model 100HFL exhaust fan/heater/fluorescent light. We do not have a four inch galvanized wall cap with a spring loaded damper. You should be able to use a spring operated damper on this unit, but depending on the strength of the spring, type of duct work used and length of duct work, the efficiency of the exhaust fan may be affected.
