The bearings fail and the motor seizes up after a few years. I have several installed in my apartment building and I have to replace a motor unit every couple years. Higher quality bearings/lubricant should be used.

Mike's Questions

Ceiling/Wall Mount Fan, White Plastic Grille, 50 CFM

The 688 motor bearings seized. Can I order just the removable motor unit, or must I order the whole fan with housing too ? Mike

I only want to buy the replacable motor unit, not the whole fan and housing or I will just have to throw away the housing (the original is mounted in the wall.)

What is the part no. and price of just the motor unit ?
