Every once in awhile you purchase a product that does its job well, without much fanfare and without being showy; this is one of those products. Installation was simple enough as is the operation, which is ideal. The design is clean and purposeful, as well as easy to clean and maintain. The unit vents well and operates quietly. It actually operates so quietly on the low setting that it is easy to forget it is running. The only complaint is that on high speed the backflow damper can rattle slightly. I would recommend a nylon insert to retain the damper instead of metal on metal contact. Other than that, I expect to have years of good use from this product.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Clicking sound won't stop

Hello,

Ever since it was installed, I hear a clicking sound.

My lightbulbs were quite tight so I had to remove the bottom cover to change the bulbs. I noticed that when the bottom cover is not in place, there is no clicking noise. As soon as I put the bottom cover back, the noise comes back.

I could not find what would be the cause, except that it's related to the bottom.

Has anyone experienced this? Perhaps Broan has a fix?

Thanks!
Gabriel,

I would recommend placing a thin strip of weather strip foam or 3M double sided tape on the sides and lower interface (toward wall side of lights) to quiet the clicking, which was intermittent metal to metal contact in my case. One good test is to try placing light pressure on different locations while the noise is presenting, this will inform where to locate your damping material.

Good luck.
