I made a previous comment & wrote a very negative review about this range hood (refer to mikimikh, Saratoga). Well, an actual person from Broan contacted me, Tammy, and she actually read/listened to my issues & she came through for me! She got in contact with a Broan technician, Chuck, & he authorized the repair with my local repair shop. Now I have a brand new motor!
One thing I didn't know until the repair was the importance of the internal/external blower. We have an internal blower. The repairmen mentioned that he would've just turned around & couldn't work on it, if it was an external blower. I would have had to go back to my general contractor. Thus, I'm also updating & giving the product 5 stars for the ease of installation. Hew!
We now have a motor & I'm actually using it. And, it does a great job! I even feel the air being sucked in when I'm standing under it!
Most important for me was the fact that Broan actually heard its customer and have a very capable/effective customer service dept! Even if the product had issues initially, the way they took care of it restored my faith in the company that stood behind its product!
