I think the features are great. I finally can really see into my pots & the fan is so quiet on low & I rarely need to use the high setting. Best decision !

qp 230: Can I turn the unit on and off on my own?
Yes, there are 3 button levels for both the light & fan. The same button for each level is used to turn the light or fan on & off..
