First 2 heater units failed in first 5 weeks.. BUT contacted tech service who is sending new unit asap.. FREE OF CHARGE & WARRANTY STARTS OVER.. Must say, I got the feeling that the new unit has BETTER QUALITY bearings on the blower motor shaft ( ball bearings) by comments made. It seems to me as if the motor turns the fan too slow on initial startup and causes the thermal protector to shut the heating unit down as it starts to overheat before fan turns full speed..personal opinion of course.. BUT the problem is that it won't let it restart after cooling down a bit, unlike older ones did.. REPLACING HEATER UNIT IS VERY EASY !!!~2 screws & 1 plug.. Less than perfect on scoring only because of initial problems..tech service very user friendly and easy to use..
I spent almost $200 on this unit and another $175 to have a hole cut in my bathroom ceiling and new sheetrock just to have the heating element burn out after using it for 3 days. I'm assuming the ceiling will have to be cut out again to service the unit if thats the case I'm just going to leave it as is and eat my loss on this unit until the fan or light burn out then go through the expensive process again with a better type unit.
WRONG...Call TECH SERVICE..They will send new heater unit FREE .. Replacement is EASY...1 Pop light cover off...2..remove screw in center of cover after removing light bulb...3 unplug wiring harness to heater unit...4 remove 2 screws that hold heating unit in place...5 pull unit out...6 replace with new unit and you're done..
