I just love this range hood. I've had it for over a year and have not had any problems. I bought it on a recommendation and glad I did. It has a nice sleek design that goes great with my beachy/contemporary kitchen, but I could see it in many other style designs as well. It does a great job of venting odors and smoke, but what I love most is the lighting. It has 4 lights with two settings. I like to use the ambient light sensor that will activate the lights when it detects a low level of lighting in the kitchen.
Yes, I recommend this product.

How do you turn off the lights? They automatically turn on at night.

If you look at your manual on page 3 in the Ambient Light Sensor section you will see the instructions on how to turn off the sensor. Use the button on the far right or the one on the far left. Press it until you see Aoff. That will deactivate it. Be aware that this is the factory setting so if you have a power outage you will have to reset it once your electricity returns.
