We have a Broan QP430SS hood and chose the SP3004 stainless steel panel to have a matching stainless steel backsplash below the hood and behind the cooktop. We wanted a backsplash that was easy to clean and without grout lines.
We chose a CaesarStone quartz countertop and we chose a cooktop with wall oven (to place oven away from cooktop which is opposite dishwasher).
The 24" height of the stainless steel panel may be long enough to go from under hood to behind the top of a range, but with a cooktop mounted in the counter the 24" height was too short, so we decided to have a 4 3/4" backsplash of the CaesarStone all around to make stainless steel panel fit (and also to be able to mount outlets in CaesarStone backsplash instead of cutting them into the glass tile)
Countertops, backsplash, and Broan QP430SS were all installed before the SP3004 stainless steel panel. Not sure if it was the vent hood specs that were off or if the SP3004 was a fraction longer than 24", but it didn't fit in the space that it should have & kitchen contractor had to send the panel out to be cut down to fit.
Stainless steel matches the stainless steel of the hood, but is not finger-print proof and is a bit tricky to keep looking nice.
I like the concept, but our kitchen contractors had some trouble mounting the panel (not smoothly and flatly adhered to surface) that they tried to fix. I also wish that the panel came in a longer length to accommodate folks who want to use it as backsplash between counter-mounted cooktop and vent hood instead of behind a range.

The Broan QP430SS does a great job of both venting cooking odors and lighting up the cooktop. We are using it to vent over an induction cooktop.
A vent hood with Great (as opposed to adequate) lighting was just as much a priority for me as good, quiet ventilation. The Broan QP430SS has both.
The Broan QP430SS does a great job of venting cooking odors, grease, and steam (we do a lot of pan frying and also I cook a lot of soups in the winter). The fan has 3 levels plus a boost. The 2 lower levels are very quiet. High is quieter than the over the range microwave it replaced. Boost is a bit noisy, but typically Boost is only used for short durations.
The fan also has an auto-off feature. After pushing the timed-off button, the fan runs for 10 minutes then shuts down. A longer or shorter interval can be set after pushing the auto-off button; the pre-set time can also be changed if you always want a different interval
The 4 halogen lights do a great job of illuminating the cooktop. In choosing a vent hood for our kitchen remodel (which was driven by wanting a vent hood that vented better than the over the range microwave-vent combination we had) great lighting was more important to me than the auto-off. Luckily for us the Broan QP430SS has both great lighting and timed-off.
There are 3 levels of light plus a night-light. Standard setting is for the nightlight to come on automatically, but we've turned that feature off. (Nightlight was coming on when we felt there was still enough light not to need it -- it's nice that many of the pre-sets can be changed to suit your needs.)
There is also a minute timer. The pre-set is for 10 minutes. You use the + and - buttons to change the interval. The pre-set can also be changed if you want a different interval.
The 2 metal mesh filters can go in the dishwasher. This unit does not keep time of fan runtime nor does it alert you when it's time to clean the filters -- about the most negative thing I can say about the Broan QP430SS.
I didn't rate the Ease of installation because kitchen contractor installed the unit. I don't recall that they had any particular issues. This unit can vent to either rectangular or circular ducting.
The stainless steel is not "fingerprint proof" but it's not difficult to clean.
We also bought the matching stainless steel backsplash piece to have a nice-looking, easy-to-clean, grout-free backsplash behind the cooktop. Actual size was a fraction of an inch larger than the specs said, which caused the contractor a bit of a hassle; they had to get the stainless steel panel cut down.
Yes, I recommend this product.

30" wide Backsplash in Reversible Stainless Steel

I'm interested in the SP3004 Stainless Steel backsplash. What kind of edging does this product have? Is it a "hemmed" or "rolled" finished edge?

As much as I can tell it is neither

Hemmed to me means an amount folder under -- no

Rolled to me means rounded -- not really

As best as I can tell edges are a nicely finished square edge

Our panel is installed flush below a QP430SS vent hood, flush on the sides between cabinets on top and glass tile below, and sits on top of CaesarStone backsplash (needed because we have cooktop and not a range)

How do you turn off the nightlight feature?

Don't want the light on at night.
Page 3 of the instructions tells how to set the Ambient Light Sensor - Instruction Guide can be downloaded from the following link if you've lost yours
http://www.broan.com/common/productDigitalAssethandler.ashx?id=65c6698f-c29f-4ecd-9838-83680199051e

Press the timer button when the hood fan is off.
1st thing that happens is that the hours of the clock blink for setting hours
Press timer button a 2d time to advance to setting minutes
Press timer button a 3d time to advance to setting display (display off does not show clock. default is for display on)
Press timer button a 4th time to advance to Sleep setting
Press timer button a 5th time to advance to Ambient Ligfht Sensor setting. Use the - button (low light button) or + button (high fan speed button) to select AoFF which deactivates the automatic ambient light sensor feature. You can still turn the night light on by pressing the low light button twice (1st press turns on light at low level, 2d press reduces light level to night light)
